Overview

What concrete & flatwork looks like with us

Flatwork is the backbone of what we do. Tucker Built Co forms, reinforces, pours and finishes driveways, patios, slabs, sidewalks and pads across League City and the Houston Bay Area. Every pour starts with compacted subgrade, a vapor barrier where it belongs and tied rebar — the parts you never see are the reason the parts you do see stay flat.

Why Tucker Built

Why concrete & flatwork is different with us

Concrete & Flatwork only works long term when the parts nobody photographs are done right. Here's what that means on your job.

  • Real base prep

Subgrade compacted and moisture-conditioned before a single form goes down — that's what keeps a slab flat.

  • Rebar, not just wire

Tied #3 or #4 rebar on chairs at proper spacing, not mesh dropped on dirt and hooked up mid-pour.

  • Joints cut on time

Control joints saw-cut at the right depth within hours so the slab cracks where we tell it to.

  • Drainage first

We set slope away from your foundation so the new pour fixes water problems instead of creating them.

  • Fixed written price

Your concrete & flatwork quote lists thickness, reinforcement, finish and haul-off before work starts.

  • 5-year workmanship warranty

Licensed, insured and warrantied in writing on every square foot we pour.

  3. 03

    Form & prep

  4. 04

    Pour & protect

Clean pour, proper cure, protected edges, and a final walkthrough with you before we leave.

FAQ

Concrete & Flatwork questions

How much does a concrete driveway cost in League City?+

Most residential driveway replacements in the Bay Area run $8–$14 per square foot depending on thickness, reinforcement, demolition and finish. You get a fixed written price after we walk the site.

How thick should a driveway slab be?+

We pour residential driveways at 4 inches minimum over compacted base, and 5–6 inches with heavier rebar where trucks, RVs or trailers park.

How long before I can drive on new concrete?+

Foot traffic is fine after 24–48 hours. Keep vehicles off a new driveway for 7 days so the slab reaches the strength it needs for wheel loads.

Can you repair concrete instead of replacing it?+

Often, yes. Cracking, settling and surface spalling can frequently be repaired for a fraction of replacement cost. We quote both options when both are realistic.
